The joint-venture sees Jota Sport AMR’s drivers and crew supplied with Serengeti’s critically acclaimed sunglasses throughout the upcoming Le Mans Series campaign, while a technical collaboration aimed at identifying and developing driver-specific optical technologies has also begun.

The official Aston Martin Racing partner team will step up its sportscar programme in 2011 by running an Aston Martin Vantage GT2 in the Le Mans Series and, subject to confirmation, motorsport’s greatest race, the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Serengeti are also no strangers to world-class sporting achievement having been Preferred Supplier to the victorious European Ryder Cup Team in 2010.

Brian Sims, Jota Sport Commercial Director:

“The Jota Sport Aston Martin Racing programme has been carefully designed to provide companies with a cost effective, high profile platform for business development and marketing activities. We’re delighted to welcome onboard such a prestigious brand as Serengeti and to play a role in helping them achieve their commercial objectives.”

Andrew Grose, UK MD of Bushnell Performance Optics:

“We’re really excited about the opportunity to partner with Jota Sport, one of the world’s leading international sports car teams and with a car that is such a globally successful brand, Aston Martin.

“We understand that whether it is in their road or race cars, the Jota Sport drivers face challenging conditions including intense sunlight and glare, abrupt changes in cloud cover and sudden reductions in visibility. Serengeti lenses increase the ability to pick out details, colour and contrast, far and near. Vision is crisp and clear with optical clarity second to none.

“It brings an added element of safety and a natural choice for drivers of all types of vehicle.”
